Manu Welfare and Educational Trust

A registered Public Charitable Trust empowering rural education and welfare since 2017

Manu Welfare and Educational Trust is a Public Charitable Trust constituted under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. The trust was established on 16th March 2017 by Smt. Urmila Singh, wife of Shri Dinesh Kumar Singh, resident of Village – Obari (Bali), Nichlaul, District – Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. The registered office is situated at Bankatwa, Post – Bali (Nichlaul), Near Nichlaul Chiutaha Road, District – Maharajganj (U.P.) – 273304.

The trust is registered under Section 12AB of the Income Tax Act, 1961, vide Registration No. AAFTM5057Q25LK01, granted by the Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemption), Lucknow on 10th January 2026, valid for Assessment Years 2026–27 to 2035–36. Donations to the trust are eligible for 50% tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Objects of the Trust

The founder trustee, being a social worker and well-qualified person, established this trust with an earnest desire to serve the desirous and needy sections of society by providing quality education, professional training, and vocational guidance, enabling beneficiaries to set up a better standard of living, achieve success in competitive examinations, and develop socially, physically, and economically.

The trust pursues its objectives through the following activities:

  • Establishing and running schools, colleges, and training institutions for education and professional development.
  • Providing expert career-oriented guidance and facilities to all sections of society.
  • Publication of literature for educational, technical, healthcare, and nutrition causes.
  • Promotion of general health and sanitation, including vaccination drives, voluntary blood donation programmes, and health awareness campaigns.
  • Organising education and awareness programmes, environment development programmes, and social and economic development initiatives.
  • Conducting research, training, and advocacy activities for community welfare.

Governance

The management and administration of the trust is governed by the following provisions as laid down in the Trust Deed:

  1. The trust may accept gifts of movable or immovable properties, money, and charities in fulfilment of and in consonance with the objects of the trust, and may receive any property on lease, grant, or otherwise.
  2. All institutions of the trust shall be open to persons of either sex and of whatever race, creed, caste, or class. No test or condition shall be imposed as to religious belief or profession in admitting students, patients, or beneficiaries, or in appointing members, teachers, administrative staff, or workers.
  3. The general superintendence, direction, and control of the affairs of the trust — including its income and property, movable as well as immovable — shall be vested in a Managing Committee comprising not more than seven members, including the founder trustee and her legal heirs and successors as life members.

All matters not specifically provided for in the Trust Deed shall be governed by the provisions of the Indian Trust Act, 1882, in so far as they are in consonance with the charitable purpose and objects of the trust.
